Antonio Conte wants to sign Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku for his new club Napoli, according to reports in Italy.

Lukaku had arguably his best season under Conte when they won the title at Inter Milan in 2021 and their affiliation remains strong.

Lukaku is still owned by Chelsea after spending last season on loan at Roma and the previous campaign at Inter.

Aston Villa have held preliminary talks with Chelsea about a move to sign Conor Gallagher.

Gallagher is entering the final 12 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge and has emerged as a top target for Unai Emery.

Villa are looking to enhance their squad after achieving Champions League qualification for the first time and manager Emery is a huge admirer of the England midfielder.

It's not only Aston Villa. Atletico Madrid also want to sign Chelsea midfielder Connor Gallagher.

Tottenham are also expected to bid as they have tried to sign the England international before.

Chelsea would not sell the 24-year-old, who has a little over a year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge, for less than £50m.

Fabio Silva has reiterated that he wants to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.

Silva became Wolves' record signing when he joined from Porto in 2020 in a deal potentially worth £35million, but he has been unable to repay the club's investment and has fallen out of favour at Molineux.
