Dortmund confirm that Mats Hummels will not be signing a new deal as they bid farewell to the defender after 13 seasons at the German club.

The 35-year-old is expected to play for at least one more year. A transfer to Serie A is possible after the defender rejected MLS and Saudi interest.

Manchester United have made an opening offer of £35million for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

The bid for the 21-year-old is viewed by Everton as unacceptable and is expected to be rejected in due course.

Branthwaite has emerged as one of United's priority targets ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window.

No deal is agreed with Everton expected to demand a premium for the England international amid concerns over their compliance with the Premier League's profitability and sustainability rules (PSR).

Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal are among the clubs to have contacted Paris Saint-Germain over the signing of Xavi Simons, according to reports in France.

Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in the 21-year-old, but PSG are not planning on selling the forward this summer and intend to loan him out again.

Simons spent last term on loan at RB Leipzig, scoring 10 goals and registering 15 assists.

Aston Villa have agreed a deal with Chelsea to sign left-back Ian Maatsen.

With a £35m release contract in Maatsen's contract specific to only Borussia Dortmund and now expired anyway, Chelsea and Villa have agreed a fee just above that figure. Personal terms are in place on a 6 year contract which Villa are now finalising.

Bayern are now expected to agree a deal with Palace.

The 22 year old French youth international had been of interest to a number of clubs this summer but has opted to join the Bundesliga club

Aston Villa have agreed a deal to sell Douglas Luiz to Juventus, with Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea moving in the opposite direction as part of a separate transaction.

Looks like Chelsea will be bringing in another load of players this summer

They have held talks with the representatives of Lille striker Jonathan David about a potential transfer this summer.

Considering that David has 12 months left on his contract and Lille president Olivier Letang recently gave his public blessing to a move in the current market, the forward is expected to be available for a reasonable price.

Chelsea are yet to approach the French side but have a good relationship with Letang by virtue of also owning fellow Ligue 1 team Strasbourg, via their BlueCo consortium.
