Until Dawn 2 is officially on the way, but it's going to be a bit different from what we might have expected! Developed by Firesprite Games, known for their work on Horizon Call of the Mountain, this sequel is set to launch in 2027 exclusively for PS5.

Now, here's the twist - Until Dawn 2 is a standalone experience. That means we'll be diving into a brand-new story with a fresh cast of characters. This time around, we'll follow a group of ghost hunters who are more about staging supernatural encounters than actually facing real danger. However, things take a terrifying turn when they arrive on an abandoned tropical island, where the scares become all too real.

The game promises to keep us on our toes with choices that can lead to saving characters or dooming them to a dreadful fate. Whether it's creating drama for the sake of their show or even a heartwarming moment involving a baby boar, players will have plenty of decisions to make.

Interestingly, the only familiar face we've spotted so far is Dr. Hill, but his role in this new narrative remains a mystery.
