Woman of the Hour (2024) Movie Thread

This is based on a true story. I've seen a few documentaries about the case and although I don't think this sticks to the facts all the time (they rarely do), it was was a really good film.

A solid directorial debut by Anna Kendrick

We watched this yesterday and really enjoyed it; although enjoyed seems the wrong word because of the topic! But it was interesting. We did a lot of googling afterwards.

Very creepy and terribly sad they didn't catch him a lot earlier.

This was rather good, tense throughout. Two leads were excellent, particularly Zovatto.

 

[Mister Magoo]

I really enjoyed this. It was entertaining throughout and didn't lose pace at all. It's a bizarre story. A serial killer who has evaded police goes on Blind Date TV show to get his next victim.

 

[Bandit]

I enjoyed this film. I thought it was well done. The real story is horrific.

 

[Hope]

I found it gripping. That guy made me feel so uncomfortable. Daniel Zovatto played the role well. I thought the way they filmed the murders was good. No gratuitous violence, they felt scarily real.
