We all have that one song that we can listen to on repeat without ever feeling bored. It might be a tune that brings back fond memories, a recent hit that resonates with us, or simply a track that never fails to lift our spirits.
So, what is that song for you? Is it a classic that takes you back to a specific moment in your life, or perhaps a new favourite that you just can't get enough of?
Not sure if this will be allowed but hey-ho. Chat thread about random stuff that might not deserve it's own thread or random yakking, film related of course.
James Gunn has unveiled the title and release date for the upcoming Superman sequel, 'Man of Tomorrow,' which is set to hit theatres on July 9, 2026. This announcement has generated considerable excitement among fans, particularly as it promises to continue the narrative established in the previous film while introducing new dynamics.
Looking forward to seeing how the universe expands.
Cappuccino Kid
The anticipation for the Minecraft movie sequel has officially begun, as its release date has been confirmed for July 23, 2027. Following the success of the first film, which grossed nearly $1 billion, it was only a matter of time before a sequel was greenlit. Director Jared Hess had already hinted at ongoing discussions shortly after the first movie's release, making the announcement less surprising.
The sequel's details are still scarce, but a teaser image featuring two pickaxes on a crafting table suggests that there may be a focus on two main characters this time, potentially hinting at the character Alex, who was teased in the first film.
While fans eagerly await more information on the plot and cast, the excitement for another cinematic adventure in the Minecraft universe is undeniable. As we mark our calendars for this release, cinema workers may want to prepare themselves for another wave of amusing memes and references that are bound to circulate.

It looks like the Star Wars universe is expanding yet again. Recent discussions have hinted that a movie focusing on the character of Ben Solo might be in the works.
Ben Solo, also known as Kylo Ren, has been a pivotal figure in the sequel trilogy, and his journey has sparked a lot of debate and interest among fans. The idea of exploring his story further could open up a wealth of narrative opportunities, especially considering the rich lore of the Star Wars universe.
Imagine diving deeper into his backstory, exploring his internal conflicts, and perhaps even witnessing his redemption arc in a new light. The potential for character development and storytelling is immense, and it could resonate with both long-time fans and newcomers alike.
While there are no official confirmations yet, the buzz around this potential project is certainly growing. It's a great time to be a Star Wars fan, with so many stories waiting to be told.
Got this on my youtube algorithm today. Noticed everyone else on there seems to be running into it too. Absolutely fascinating stuff. His guitar has all the frets halved for micronotes. Someone described it as having bugs crawling all over your body but you don't want it to stop.
I found out about them a while ago, and somehow keep coming back to them. Actually listening to their stuff just like that doesn't appeal that much to me, but reading about them and seeing reaction videos is great fun. A bit funny!
I suppose their hype will die down before too long, but conceptually, it's great stuff, and these guys are absolute master musicians. Really impressive how they do this (even without the microtonal aspect).
While technically, they are very impressive, I can't say I'd listen leisurely. They seem more of an artist's favourite artist type though, as my colleagues who were in bands themselves love it.
What was the last movie you watched? Write a little bit about it, whether you liked it or not, if you like ?
Margin Call. Stanley Tucci, a sour-faced Demi Moore, Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, and Jeremy Irons, who is very good.
They managed to make a potentially tedious topic (the stock market) quite engaging. No action - just guys in suits talking. I slightly got the impression they may have been copying Glengarry Glen Ross - it's probably not as good as that, but I liked it.
Based on the true story of Latif Yahia, a former Iraqi army officer who acted as the body double of Uday Hussein - Saddam's eldest son - between 1988 and 1991. Dominic Cooper plays both roles. Not a bad watch, Uday Hussein was certainly one unhinged individual. Worth a look if you're after something a bit different.
Alice
Watched The Nice Guys last night, never even heard of it, just found it while scrolling through Prime and thought I'd give it a try and glad I did, comedy starring Ryan Gosling, who plays a PI and Russell Crowe, who plays an enforcer, and both are paid to find a teenage girl who's gone missing. The storyline is pretty simple, the acting is very good, and there's plenty of laughs in there. Apparently, it flopped at the box office but has become a cult favourite.
The GOAT
The Bride Wore Black
A simple, extremely watchable, Hitchockian, revenge thriller with a standout performance from Jeanne Moreau as the deadly protagonist. You'd think this was the main inspiration for Kill Bill, but apparently not.
In a weird way I feel like I enjoyed this a lot more than I should have, given its simplicity.
We often find ourselves immersed in different forms of creative expression, and I'm curious to know what captures your heart the most.
Here are some thoughts to kick off the conversation:
Music: For many, music hits differently. It has the power to carry emotions, tell stories, and evoke memories in a way that other art forms sometimes can't. It seems to speak directly to the soul, making it a favourite for many.
Movies: The visuals and storytelling in movies are equally captivating. They can transport us to different worlds and provoke deep thoughts, often leaving a lasting impression.
TV Shows: TV has evolved into a powerful medium for storytelling, with many series offering rich narratives and character development that keep us engaged for seasons on end.
Books: The written word has a unique way of inviting us into the minds of characters and allowing us to experience their journeys intimately. Books can broaden our perspectives and deepen our understanding of the world.
Which art form resonates with you the most and why?
Chuck Norris has died, his family has confirmed.
In a statement shared on his official account, they said:
"It is with heavy hearts that our family shares the sudden passing of our beloved Chuck Norris yesterday morning. While we would like to keep the circumstances private, please know that he was surrounded by his family and was at peace.
The martial artist and Hollywood star became a global icon through his roles in films and TV, as well as his long-standing reputation for discipline and strength.
Cracking childhood memories of going to the video shop with my grandad and him picking out anything with Chuck Norris in it. Still love Delta Force. RIP
If you have watched KPop Demon Hunters, you will be familiar with the song Golden and possibly the real-life singers who provide the singing voices of the animated characters. I'm not going to lie, I've become a little bit obsessed with one of the singers, Kim Eun‑jae - known professionally as EJAE, who provides the singing voice for Rumi in the film. She was also one of the songwriters for the KPDH soundtrack.
She has a fascinating trajectory, and her rise says a lot about how global K‑pop has become.
EJAE trained at SM Entertainment for 10 years, beginning in 2003 - an unusually long trainee period that shaped her as both a vocalist and a songwriter. After being considered "too old" to debut in a traditional idol group, she shifted her focus to songwriting and production, eventually relocating to the U.S. to build her career independently.
Before her breakout as a performer, EJAE was already well‑known behind the scenes. She wrote or contributed vocals for major K‑pop acts including Red Velvet, Aespa, Twice, and Le Sserafim.
Her international breakthrough came with the 2025 animated film KPop Demon Hunters:
She provided the singing voice for Rumi, one of the film's protagonists.
She co‑wrote and performed the hit single "Golden", which became a global chart‑topper:
#1 on Billboard Hot 100, Global 200, and UK Singles Chart — a historic first for a K‑pop‑led soundtrack.
The film's soundtrack, blending Korean traditional elements with modern pop, earned widespread acclaim, with EJAE credited as a key creative architect.
EJAE's story is one of persistence, reinvention, and cross‑cultural artistry - she's become a creative powerhouse precisely because she didn't follow the standard idol path. It is the kind of story where every setback sharpened her craft.
She released her debut solo single a few months ago, shortly after the live performance of Golden, and it showcases her voice and insane range. I really hope she continues as a solo performer; she deserves to be a global superstar for her backstory alone, and she has the talent to definitely be one.

This is definitely a song I never get tired listening to. I think the song clearly defines how I am trapped into the society
