Gutted for Verstappen, Monaco and here was the 2 tracks RB were supposed to leave Mercedes for dust, so in terms of the championship they have missed a trick.

Delighted for Perez, he's doing exactly what he was brought there to do - a safe pair of hands to pick up the scraps.

Vettel also, things seem to be clicking for him after a miserable year unwanted and disrespected at Ferrari.

Gasly also deserved every bit of that. Thriving outside of that RB environment, looked strong all weekend and showed big balls in that final battle to come back at Leclerc.

This track definitely throws up excitement whatever you might say about it

What a race. They really should have red flagged the race after Lance Strolls tyre failed or at least yellow flagged it and gave teams the option to change there tyres and then Max's might not have failed. Them tyres are dangerous. That should really not happen.

Anyway I really felt for Max and for Red Bull not getting there 1-2 but was also delighted for Sergio, Vettel was great to see him back on the podium and Gasly.

I was thinking at the restart this is hardly worth it for one flag but how wrong I was it was brilliant.

What exactly happened to Hamilton did he just fail to cool his brakes so they failed or what? He has been very lucky so far anyway Hamilton so was due some bad luck. Bottas was just not at the races at all today.

Lewis has said he turned the brakes off on the steering wheel when Perez moved over to cover him and he didn't realise he had done it. Lucky boy, it could have been one hell of a crash if it had been at somewhere like Socchi or Monza.

I wonder will yesterday mean we won't see the softest sets for another bit while they're investigating what happened?

Obviously the podium yesterday was refreshing to see, can't help but smile seeing Vettel there, looks like he's getting the feel for the car and happy with it, Gasly really is mustard too. There was plenty talk that Perez likes Baku and he walked the walk and talked the talk.

Season certainly shaping up nicely, looks like Red Bull will be favourites for the constructors seeing as Bottas looks a bit of a lost soul at the moment, hopeuflly Max can keep up his performance too, the Mercedes situation is fascinating really seeing how it pans out.
