Playing without attributes is quite a fun challenge. It means I'm guaranteed to sign flops which is realistic. I always felt in the past with FM that once you get a few years in the AI transfers are rubbish while it is too easy for you to scoop up the best wonderkids early.

That seems like it would be crazy hard... do you just watch the game super attentively and decide a player is quick based on a little highlight? I always use 2D graphics so I'm not sure how that'd even work.

You usually get some sort of red/amber/green indicator for stats, so if a player has green for acceleration then you know he's quick. But not precisely how quick which is pretty realistic.

This is a cool new feature. I always forget to include something like this. I'm making 600k on the guy and getting him for the season still.

Decided to resign from Fiorentina at the end of the season. After 3 seasons, won back to back league titles, but lost in the CL knockout rounds and then Man United activated Adeyemi's release clause in the summer. Also, I messed up when I signed this one CB wonderkid, I let the club keep him on loan, not realising he'd be out on loan the entire next season. So now I had no quality depth CBs since he was supposed to replace my other guy whose contract expired. Realistically wasn't going to get any further in the CL without Adeyemi this year.

Ancelotti got hired by Liverpool, opening up the Real Madrid post. Sent an application, fans laughed off my interest but after an interview, they actually offered me the job. Didn't realise my reputation had grown that much - 1 year and league title with Ajax, 3 years and 2 league titles with Fiorentina and now moving to Real Madrid.

Aaaand now looking through their squad, it looks like a disaster. Nice. And in that week I was gone, they spent 100m on a player who wasn't even a starter for me at Fiorentina 😵

How good do Newcastle become in your saves? They just won the Europa League in mine. They finished 11th in the league but 6th the season prior.

Interesting. Can you change midway through a save to have that? Or does it have to be at the start of a save? A problem with the longevity of an FM save for me is always being able to just look at stats and not really needing to use scout reports. Would change a lot.

Got this guy for free from a random Indonesian team and he's been class. I'm top of the league with 8 games to go. Should hopefully win promotion to the Eredvisie. Bit torn on whether to stay and compete in a top league or to move on after this.

How do you even find players at that level? Recruitment/scouting is something that has always put me off managing at low levels, it always seems extremely cumbersome.

He popped up on my scouted players report. My scouts are crap and it costs a lot but I took a gamble on him based on the stats I could see (which wasn't many).
