They would have been better sticking with Washington Football Team, in my opinion.

It's not bad I suppose but actually just prefer Washington Football Team too but don't suppose that really cuts it from a merchandising/commercial perspective.

I'd have loved if they had gone with Red Hogs. With a hog on the helmet!

A lot of soccer teams are just "xx Football Club", often abbreviated to FC (e.g. Toronto FC in the current North American league). Why not name a American Football team that way? Seem reasonable to me.

Actually, that could probably work.

I don't think there is anything creative or interesting about the name or the logo. The real mystery is how it took 18 months, and Lord knows, how much money to decide on it.

A bit boring in my opinion, and as was pointed out earlier it doesn't have a good shortened version like the Pats, Bucs, 9'ers, etc. I suppose that goes for a lot of teams though.

Should have stuck with Football Team. It was really growing on me, and it is certainly the most precise.
