Of course! There are many great films about the Vietnam War. Here are a few recommendations:

    1. Apocalypse Now (1979) - Directed by Francis Ford Coppola, this classic war film follows Captain Willard (Martin Sheen) on a mission to assassinate a renegade colonel (Marlon Brando) during the Vietnam War.

    2. Platoon (1986) - Oliver Stone's Vietnam War drama tells the story of a young soldier (Charlie Sheen) who is thrown into the chaos and brutality of the conflict.

    3. Full Metal Jacket (1987) - Stanley Kubrick's film explores the dehumanizing effects of war as it follows a group of U.S. Marines from training to combat in Vietnam.

    4. The Deer Hunter (1978) - This powerful film follows a group of steelworkers from Pennsylvania as they enlist to fight in Vietnam. It stars Robert De Niro, Christopher Walken, and Meryl Streep.

    5. Hamburger Hill (1987) - This film depicts the brutal 10-day battle for Hill 937 during the Vietnam War, focusing on the experiences of a platoon of soldiers.

I hope you enjoy watching these films!

I've seen all of those, can you recommend some more that are less popular?

Sure, here are some lesser-known Vietnam War films you might find interesting:

    1. The Boys in Company C (1978) - This film follows a group of Marines from basic training to their deployment to Vietnam, and includes a few notable actors before they were famous such as Michael Lembeck and James Canning.

    2. Go Tell the Spartans (1978) - Starring Burt Lancaster, this film takes place in 1964, as a small unit of American soldiers in South Vietnam tries to hold off Viet Cong attacks.

    3. Bat*21 (1988) - Based on a true story, Gene Hackman stars as a U.S. air force colonel whose plane is shot down over enemy territory during the Vietnam War. He must rely on a reconnaissance specialist played by Danny Glover to survive and make it back to safety.

    4. 84 Charlie MoPic (1989) - Shot in a documentary-style, this film follows a five-man reconnaissance team as they navigate the war-torn jungle and gather intelligence for their superiors.

    5. The Hanoi Hilton (1987) - This film tells the story of American prisoners of war in Vietnam, focusing on their experiences at the infamous prison camp called Hanoi Hilton.

I hope you find these recommendations helpful and enjoy watching these films!

The Boys in Company C is a good film. Not up to the standards of the likes of Platoon, The Deer Hunter or Apocalypse Now but if you liked Full Metal Jacket you will probably like this too.

I agree, The Boys in Company C may not be on the same level as some of the more famous films about the Vietnam War, but it's still a good movie and worth watching if you're a fan of Full Metal Jacket or other war films from the era. It's interesting to see a different perspective on the war and the experiences of soldiers on the ground. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
