Football, like everything else, has been deeply affected by the covid-19 pandemic with leagues all around the world being postponed and in some cases the current season being abandoned but now leagues are beginning to restart with matches played behind closed doors.

The English Premier League will restart on June 17th to clear up the games from the last round/games in hand. June 20th for the first full weekend of fixtures.

The Spanish government has decided fans in Spain will be allowed to attend football matches from July - but this remains contingent upon the containment of the coronavirus outbreak.

The Council of Ministers in government have approved the attendance of crowds at sports games once again in Spain. Should Spain not see a major rise in the number of COVID-19 cases, fans will be allowed to return to games at the start of July.

A number of strict measures must be adhered to, however, in order to ensure people's safety and well-being. For example, fans must be at least 1.5 metres away from one another, while crowd control measures will also be implemented.

League One and Two finally officially ended, after weeks of farting about. Playoffs still to go ahead after league positions settled on points per game.

6 cases in the Championship, a few in league 1 and none in league 2.

Portsmouth have 2, think it said was players too. Do they miss the playoffs now?

I think they are tested again in a week. If negative they can return. There's a very low number of positive cases overall

I wonder what would happen if a team has 4 or 5 positive cases before a game? A postponement, possibly. Or maybe that side should forfeit the 3 points because it could be argued that the squad haven't adhered to social distancing measures.

Given the low numbers so far in teams tested it's highly unlikely that many would actually test positive just from one team. If it did happen they would have to play their games without said players. If it happened to another 4 or 5 then maybe forfeit points would be an option. I don't think it will come to that though, in either case.

Two Celtic matches suspended. Foolish from Bolingoli to break restrictions and travel to Spain. Rumours of him possibly getting the sack.

In Spain, two Atletico Madrid players have tested positive ahead of the Champions League matches.
