Well that truly was a waste of time. I kept hoping for some solid scene or linkage to S1 - more than just a drawing or mention of Tutils - but no, just a tease with no pay back. Shame.

Finished this off the other night

The finale struck me as something that had been rewritten multiple times by dozens of different people.

There was zero tension and tbh I couldn't have cared less about what happened as the whole thing was so convoluted.

The sprinkling of horror/mysticism only added to the confusion imho.

The first season of True Detective deserves every bit of praise that has been thrown its way but everything since then has been very poor in my opinion. I'd be very surprised if there is another season after 4.

I have to agree David76. After the first anthology the rest have been disappointing, gradually getting worse with each season. I didn't even bother finishing off 4.

Genuinely one of the worst shows I've seen in years.

It wasn't True Detective. They just slapped the name on it to get more viewers.

Season 1 was peak TV, an incredible season.

Just started the 4th one. Enjoying it so far.
