Trump has just pushed a baseless conspiracy theory that the "deep state" is delaying a coronavirus vaccine until after the election.

"The deep state, or whoever, over at the FDA is making it very difficult for drug companies to get people in order to test the vaccines and therapeutics," he wrote.

"Obviously, they are hoping to delay the answer until after November 3rd. Must focus on speed, and saving lives!"

The head of the Food and Drug Administration, Dr Stephen Hahn, was nominated by Trump for the role in 2019.

It's incredible the garbage he keeps coming out with. Surely even Trump supporters must look at things like this and question whether they back the wrong person?

Just listening to the two party conferences over the past couple of weeks it is clearly evident how politically divided and fractured America has become.

I cannot ever remember the USA being like this before but maybe the news coverage was just different over here in the past.

It really doesn't matter a damn who wins this election, as the problems which face America are bigger than whoever is in the White House. The partisan politics of both houses ensure that very few policies of substance are ever passed, whilst the social and racial divisions are currently wider than at any time in living memory. And similarly, the one constant throughout the decades has been the economy, now no longer a given. The one thing I would say though is whilst things are unlikely to improve much under Biden, they would unravel further under Trump 2.

His whole campaign has been turning American against American. From the ANTIFA comments to BLM and then to tweet LAW AND ORDER several times every day.

Might be against the grain but I think he'll win a 2nd term.

Yeah, as I look down (literally and figuratively) at all the nonsense going on in my neighbour to the South, I still think there's a non-zero chance he'll be around until 2024. Sadly. I am quite sick of waking up in the morning to some new outrageous tweet or statement. Four more years of him and I might just tune out the news entirely save for domestic.

If Trump is beaten, the real work will only start then.

In the US, Covid will still be an issue and the BLM cause will still be susceptible to being ignited by future events.

And if Biden wins, the narrative will change from 'There's no problem' to 'I can't believe how much of a problem there is' almost overnight and there will be no shortage of commentators and groups to say what should be done and what a Republican would do if they were in charge.

All the people who were against any lockdown measures or use of masks, how do we think they are going to respond when the person telling them to do something is a Democrat President if that is what happens. How do we think people will react if there is an attempt to bring in any type of federal law to mandate masks or quarantine or testing or whatever.

This election isn't about Biden fixing everything by next March, it's more about stopping the Trump shitshow from doing any more damage.

Trump: Americans Who Died in War Are "Losers" and "Suckers"

The president has repeatedly disparaged the intelligence of service members and asked that wounded veterans be kept out of military parades

A new low, shocking if true.
