I really remember liking the original Channel 4 series but its been a long time.

I enjoyed the first episode I have to say on its own merit, it doesn't follow the same beats as the original. I do find the casting a little odd, they seem to have purposely gone for people who look like the original cast especially Desmin Borges as Wilson Wilson. I will stick with it for a few more episodes.

Btw, the author Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl and Sharp Objects) has penned all the episodes which makes me think the script might make it worth it.

I wouldn't bother. It has been cancelled after one season.
