First episode was standard The Boys but it felt a bit.. flat? I dunno, not sure if it's because it's been so long since season 3 or that the format is just wearing a bit thin. Hopefully it picks up.

Disappointed so far.

Feels like the show is stringing out 1 season of content into 5 at this point. Same four or five things happen on repeat.

They really need an episode now and again where the boys take out some random supe and show they are actually competent and why the CIA or whoever it is continue to employ them. Because they basically feck up everything they are supposed to be doing but somehow always survive because of reasons.

 

[Franco Pinion]

Homelander is just boring this season, he is not menacing at all. I get there is some mystery of what Sister Sage is planning but the plot is just so slow.

I'm three episodes into the new season and still enjoying it, even if it is treading water again. Some of the scenes are still so fun. Also that sauna bit

 

[Wanted]

At San Diego Comic-Con, Amazon announced a new prequel series, "Vought Rising," set in the 1950s.

The prequel will focus on Soldier Boy and Stormfront, exploring Vought's early days as a corrupt corporation. The series has been described as a "twisted murder mystery" filled with blood and Compound V.

A premiere date has not yet been announced.

Recently finished this.

Good finale but an overall ok-ish season imo. They took way too long to get to certain stuff but it was still solid.

Definitely too much plot armour especially with them being taken at the end there and not just killed. Kimiko finally speaks!

I thought the final season was pretty poor and undid the good work of the first three seasons. The fourth was OK but the final season fell off as hard as GoT did which spoiled it a little for me.
