Racing Point needed to tell Perez to park that car, when an engine blowing smoke like that there is always a risk of fire or sending oil all over the track.
That is the worst F1 crash I have seen for many years. It really is a miracle he wasn't more severely injured or fatally injured.

I didn't watch the race, but a number of friends had mentioned the crash to me. I watched it this morning for the first time, it felt very reminiscent of Gilles Villeneuve's fatal crash with the car ripped in two like that.
Very relieved that we didn't have another death in the sport following the recent tragedy a few years ago.. What a lucky boy he is!
