To be fair, any car that goes off and can't get back to the pits under its own power is going to cause a red flag. I would imagine the track is too narrow to have recovery trucks or cranes and marshals on track even with yellows.

For me, Lewis benefitted far more that race than Verstappen will today. He'd have been out of that race.

Mercedes should have split strategy anyway at the safety car. Leave Bottas sitting in front of Max at least as a cover.
