Recently dropped on Netflix. I haven't seen it before but have heard good things about this so I'm going to have a binge.

Is it a slow starter that I'll need to stick with or is it a gem from the start?

It's still good at the start, but it does get loads better once it finds it's feet

I think it improves a lot once Mark leaves and Jerry and Donna become proper characters rather than minor office staff.

Just started watching it on Netflix. First season was pretty poor, but everyone seems to say I should stick with it

Absolutely what everyone else has said. Stick with it through the first series, you'll start to enjoy and appreciate it more in the second series, and then off you go.

Also, best theme music ever - and it was written as part of a 5 day "contest".

One of the best sitcoms of this century. It's like The Office but with better characters, better writing and better stories.

First series was alright, but the tone changes from series 2 and it's brilliant. Stick with it, treat yourself

Last series was a load of self indulgent rubbish though, imo.
