I don't have high hopes for this, to be honest. :(

Hopefully I'm wrong.

The official teaser trailer is now available. Catherine O'Hara looks great for 70; that's my only comment really because it really is a teaser by all definition of the word. Tim Burton was a busted flush many movies ago so I retain little or no enthusiasm for his work anymore.

Not sure about this but I'm expecting Keaton to knock the role out of the ball park again!

I saw it on Thursday and thought it was great. Not in a groundbreaking cinema way but great in terms of a fun silly film which is what it is.

I thought it was quite good. Sure not every joke lands, but the story is good enough to keep it going for the 100 or so minutes that lasts. Tim Burton directs with a similar flair to the first one, there is some great set design and I also liked the music- both original and the songs.

Performances a bit uneven. Michael Keaton is great again in the title role. Catherine O'Hara delightful, as expected. Jenny Ortega playing a similar palette to her role as Wednesday Adams. And I also liked Monica Belucci in her small, femme fatale role. The rest were just OK. If I'm honest, I didn't get Willem Dafoe's role, wasn't particularly necessary in moving the story forward.

Overall positive balance and anyone that liked the first film will probably enjoy this one too!!
