Bumper Contract for George Kittle? NFL 

The San Francisco 49ers have been working on signing star tight end George Kittle to the richest contract for a player at his position in NFL history.

I think 5 years and $67.5m is a little rich for Kittle. If they let him play this year and then tag him twice, he will get around $30m. At that point he will be 29 and have a lot of wear on his body given how he plays. They can and most likely will give him more. Perhaps 4 years $52m (that's $13m per year) with a lot of guarantees. Say $30m guaranteed, about what he would get playing under the tags. That would be a lot of money for Kittle to turn down when he hasn't really made any yet in life. Also....no reason to close on this now until they are fairly certain that there will be a season this year.

Kittle has a great attitude, is a great teammate, has no off-field issues, plays his ass off every play, and is a baller. For me, he's easily as valuable as some of the top WRs. His production is great, and his intangibles may be better.
