I've been sorting through old paperwork in my filing cabinet and found my cheque book. I last wrote a cheque in 2016.

Does anyone still have a cheque book and use it?

I rarely wrote cheques, and I've been with a few different banks since I recall writing my last one..

I've received some in the last year, but haven't written one for probably 8 years or so

Used for birthday presents etc for folk who live a distance away, probably write 3 or 4 a year.

I hadn't written a cheque for 5 years, maybe more but I've written about a dozen during lockdown. Our local butcher doesn't take cards so these last few months have been cheque only.

I opened my current account in 2011 and have never had a cheque book for it.

Yes, occasionally. Mainly to pay tradesmen and put in birthday cards.
