The post offers a brief summary of the panel and includes some personal opinions, but it lacks depth and detail about specific aspects of the game. Expanding on the points made could enhance its value to the community.

During the Death Stranding 2 panel Kojima apologised in advance for how absurd it's going to be. He also said he fully expects players to throw their controllers at the screen due to the craziness.

Looks totally absurd, it's probably going to make zero sense, but I'll enjoy it anyway. The short gameplay snippets look very familiar though, I wonder how he can keep this game feeling fresh compared to the first.

Easily my most anticipated game this year!

Set in Mexico and Australia, said to have a faster-paced start to it than the last game.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is set 11 months after the previous game. Sam Bridges, now living a quiet life with his BB (bridge baby) Lou, finds himself in Mexico following a request from Fragile. In Mexico, Sam gets caught up in an incident that eventually brings him to Australia. There he must take on the herculean task of traversing across the continent to, once again, re-connect a fractured society.
One point that stood out to me during the game's hands-on, was its fast-paced narrative and gameplay. The story in the first Death Stranding took things slowly in order to set the scene and carefully lay out the state of the world to the player. However, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach's story unfolds at a faster pace, and you'll get access to new equipment and structures much earlier in the game as well.

Death Stranding 2 - Everything We Know So Far

Few games have left a mark quite like Death Stranding. Love it or scratch your head at it, Hideo Kojima’s first post-Konami project pushed boundaries and sparked endless discussion. Now, Kojima Productions is back with Death Stranding 2, and it’s shaping up to be bigger, bolder, and more...

I'm also looking forward to this game.

The ESRB recently confirmed that Death Stranding 2: On The Beach will be available on PC. While Sony has yet to announce an official release date, the listing on the ESRB website brings us one step closer to experiencing the game's eccentricities, including why Troy Baker's character embraces glam rock and the purpose of a cat demon tied to the game's narrative.

Interestingly, the ESRB warns players about encountering "a man set on fire in a fantastical manner," hinting at the game's signature blend of surrealism and dark humour - elements that fans have come to expect from Kojima's work. Additionally, the presence of strong language has been noted, which may deter some players.

As anticipation grows, there is speculation surrounding potential surprise releases or announcements, particularly with significant industry events approaching in December. This adds to the excitement surrounding Kojima's future projects, especially given his penchant for innovation and storytelling.

In a recent update ahead of its PC launch on March 19, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has revealed some exciting features for players on this platform. Following Hideo Kojima's insights in a radio interview, it was confirmed that the PC version will support ray-traced reflections and ambient occlusion, enhancing the game's visual fidelity.

Ray-traced reflections won't be limited to just water; they will also apply to tar, which promises to elevate the visual experience in critical battle scenarios. The ambient occlusion will provide more realistic shadows, enhancing depth in various environments, thus improving immersion. While the Very High settings are expected to deliver great performance, the addition of ray tracing allows for an even richer visual experience without impacting system requirements.

A new difficulty mode, called "To The Wilder," is designed to challenge players by placing them in harsh environments with formidable enemies. This mode demands strategic ingenuity, promising a "truly priceless" sense of accomplishment upon completion, although it does not offer specific rewards.

Moreover, the update introduces a VR training area named "Trapped in a Strange Realm," where players can revisit battles against bosses, earning unique rewards like new bandanas for Sam. The game's Photo Mode will also feature new capabilities, allowing players to capture moments with the Chiral Feline in various settings.

As we await the release, it's clear that Death Stranding 2 is poised to offer an enriched experience for both PC and PS5 players alike.
