The man was a football genius and when it was announced that he had passed away it made me very sad indeed, fantastic player, all be it very flawled. RIP Diego.

Magnificent player, definitely up there when you are talking about the best ever. He had his problems but he was a magician on the pitch.

Seen loads of people calling him a cheat for the "hand of God" goal against England - yes it was a handball but it wasn't spotted by the officials, also, Terry Fenwick could have been sent off about 3 times for the dirty tackles he laid into Maradona with during the match but he got away with only a yellow card for some of the worst fouling I've ever seen in any match.

Fenwick recounted his memory from facing Maradona, revealing he attempted to impose himself on the former attacking midfielder only to find he was not someone who was easily intimidated.

Fenwick added: "I belted him two or three times. I thought 'that's him done'. He was off the pitch for four and a half minutes after I whacked him once.

"And when I turned round and he was warming up to come back on, I was thinking 'what the hell have I got to do to stop this man?'. He was built like you wouldn't believe. He was a pit bull and he came back for more all the time.
