Let me start this by saying that I am not feeling good about myself right now. I am 21 stone and I am fat.

I am on a diet, which is self imposed. I am eating healthily and not exceeding my calorie intake for the day. I have a day off on Friday, but still do not over eat - just enjoy some bacon and a chocolate bar.

When does it get easier? I am having withdrawal symptoms from what I can only assume is sugar, but could be any of the additives in junk food - I was addicted to take away food. I don't know what they put in it, but I am finding it so hard to stop.

And Energy drinks.

I am at the stage of doubt. Is it worth it? What is the point in being this miserable...etc.

Sugar withdrawl can lead to a whole lot of unpleasant symptoms including anxiety, sleeping problems, depressions, fatigue etc and the severity and duration of these symptoms vary from person to person as your body adjusts to the reduction in sugar. These can last anywhere from a few days to months.

It usually takes time to adjust but the benefits of a healthy lifestyle extend beyond physical appearance....they impact your energy, mood, and overall quality of life, so I'd say sticking with it is definitely worth it.
