The post presents an interesting perspective but lacks depth and specific questions for engagement. It could benefit from clearer structure and more detailed insights about the topic.

Do you still own a dedicated DVD/Blu-Ray player?

Some of my friends and work colleagues have said that they can still play DVD's on consoles or their computer but they don't have an actual player. Most of them said they no longer have any DVDs.

I still have one in my living room and bedroom and have plenty of DVD's including films and box sets to watch.

It has been a very long time since I recorded anything on to DVD or hard drive. The catch-up services and the likes of Netflix have done away with the need.

It's also becoming rarer for me to buy films and TV shows on DVD.

I guess we are no longer in the DVD era.

Haven't had one for years, can play DVDs, as well as Blu rays, on my Xbox so didn't seem any point. Got loads of DVDs though but mainly use Netflix, Sky Box Sets and Amazon Prime Video

One DVD player, one Blu-Ray player, use both of them most days. Also 2 PCs with Blu-ray drives. They all have their uses, all 4 devices can also play digital HD video on USB sticks and I use them for that as well.

I have a DVD player, but it's in its box in a cupboard and hasn't been used in years. I can't remember the last time I bought a DVD/Blu-Ray for myself either.

Have a BluRay player. Did buy a DVD earlier in the year as it was on the only way to watch the film.

Nope, got rid of my dvd collection, dvd and blu ray player and went fully digital a few years back.

We have 2 x blue ray players in the house. While streaming is meant to be the future, not everything you want to watch is available to stream so a dvd or blue ray is your only option.

I did have a dedicated Blu-Ray player, but I've "loaned" it to my in-laws as their DVD player broke and I have a PS3 and PS4.

My mum tried to give me a dedicated DVD player last week as I've just moved in to a flat. I politely declined as I didn't need it, and honestly it would just be extra clutter.

I still have a fairly large collection (probably around 200) of Blu-Rays and DVDs, but haven't bought any myself for a little while!

Yes I still have a DVD player and use it regularly to play DVDs for my little one. Best way to keep her quiet and entertained is by sticking a DVD on ?

I still watch the odd film on my Blu-Ray player. I sometimes just fancy seeing a particular film and remember that I have it in my collection.

There seem to be less and less new films that float my boat.
