The post raises a valid concern about pricing and product changes, but it lacks depth and specificity regarding the impact of the sugar tax. More context about personal experience with energy drinks would enhance its relevance.

In the supermarket yesterday I saw that "Monster" original now has zero sugar, yet it was still at the inflated price of £1.70.

The whole point of the price rise from £1 was due to the sugar tax, now they've changed the formula but kept the ridiculous price rise.

Why would you want to pay nearly double for a product that tastes worse and is less effective?

Never tried any of them but there is probably as much caffeine in one can as in a couple cups of coffee, awful stuff.

Energy drinks are absolutely vile, I wouldn't pay a penny for any of them let alone nearly £2. They taste horrible.
