Ali v Foreman Rumble in the Jungle Boxing

Just watched Ali v Foreman Rumble In The Jungle fight again on YouTube. The 50th anniversary of the fight was a couple of days ago. It was possibly the greatest heavyweight fight of all time.



When I look at of the World Heavyweight Championship matches in the last 10/15 years they look oh so tame.

The golden decade of boxing.

Ali had a great fight plan, whereas Foreman had a terrible one. There was no way he could fight at that pace for 15 rounds.

The 5th round was brutal. Foreman handed out some amount of punishment and Ali was stuck on the ropes but Ali finished the round strong. Foreman tired visibly after that round, he had almost punched himself out. Ali just waited for the right moment and finished him in the 8th.
