The post provides personal insight into the author's work situation, but it could benefit from more focus and structure. While it touches on relevant topics, the overall clarity suffers from a lack of coherence.

I could have discussed this in the Coronavirus thread, but.. chose not to ? What is your work situation at the moment, have you been put on furlough (or worse, been made redundant)?

I'm still working from home at the moment in my IT Technician role for a secondary school. The bulk of work coming in has been password resets for students - even now! Thankfully it's been pretty flexible, and it hasn't been expected for us to work full days. I also took on some extra work just in case at one of our local supermarkets; the extra money has allowed me to pay off a bit of debt quicker than anticipated, and it will continue to be useful going forwards while the work is available.

My "wife" has been on furlough for about 5-7 weeks now, with no return date confirmed yet. I think the novelty has worn off.. Especially when our daughter isn't at nursery ?

Working from home also in IT for a University supporting staff who are also working from home. Working a normal day at the moment, 9-5, not sure what will happen once the semester ends. All the students and academics will disappear for the summer leaving not much going on.

I've been working as normal throughout.

I work within the council tax department and we have been deemed "essential" although about 3/4 of our staff are working from home due to shielding or living with someone who is at risk.

I'm going to be back working at the school on a rota basis from next week, although I think the working hours will be slightly reduced. On the days I'm not in the school, I'll still be working from home..

My "wife" had a phone call yesterday asking her to start working from home again from next week also so our daughter will be returning to nursery full-time.
