Few players evoke the kind of passion and respect that Andy Robertson has garnered at Liverpool FC. As he prepares to depart this summer, he has left an indelible mark on the club and its supporters.

Robertson, acquired for just £10 million from Hull City in 2017, has transformed from a promising player into one of the greatest left-backs in Liverpool's storied history. With 373 appearances and a cabinet full of trophies - including two Premier League titles, an FA Cup, a Champions League, and more - his contributions to the team are undeniable.

His tenure at Liverpool has not just been about statistics; it has been about heart. Robertson's relentless work ethic and passion on the pitch have mirrored the spirit of the fans. Memorable moments, such as his crucial performance in the 4-3 victory against Manchester City or his fiery encounter with Lionel Messi during the Champions League semi-final, have solidified his status as a club legend.

Despite a slow start, he quickly became indispensable, redefined the full-back role alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold, and has been a leader both on and off the pitch. Klopp once praised him as the best left-back in the world, and many fans would echo that sentiment.

As he transitions out of Liverpool, having accepted a more limited role in recent seasons, Robertson remains a key figure. His infectious personality has created bonds within the team and has further endeared him to the supporters.

While he has faced competition for his spot and has had to adapt, his performances - such as a standout game against Wolverhampton in the FA Cup - serve as reminders of his immense talent. As Robertson prepares for his emotional farewell, one thing is certain: he will always be celebrated as a Liverpool icon.

What is Robertson's Liverpool legacy?

Although this comes as no real surprise, it's still a sad moment for supporters as they prepare to wave goodbye to a club legend.

Robertson's journey at Liverpool is the embodiment of grit, leadership, and star quality. He was signed with little fanfare but quickly silenced any doubters with his determination and consistency.

His tireless running down the flank, pinpoint deliveries, and defensive tenacity made him indispensable during one of the most successful periods in Liverpool's history, but beyond achievements and trophies, it's his character that cements his legacy.

Vocal, passionate, and fiercely committed, he has helped set the standards for years, and even in more recent weeks, he's continued to remain the ultimate professional with his attitude towards playing and the future.
  • Andy Robertson's transfer to Liverpool for £10 million has proven to be one of the best in the club's history.
  • He has won every major trophy available with Liverpool, including two Premier League titles and a Champions League.
  • Robertson's work ethic and passion have made him a fan favourite and a key player during his time.
  • His leadership and character have greatly impacted the locker room and the club's culture.
  • As he departs, he leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by Liverpool fans for generations to come.

One of the best player under Jurgen Klopp. Great servant to the club and possibly one of the best value signings in the modern era.

Deserves to be ranked as one of the best Liverpool left-backs ever. Brilliant full back, full of energy, fantastic delivery from wide, commitment to the cause, with a bit of shithousery thrown in too. He will get the great send-off he deserves.

Robertson is a Liverpool legend and one of the club's best left-backs. Only Alan Kennedy can probably claim to be better. Robertson was integral to the Klopp years, and the number of assists he recorded over a 3-4-year period was immense. Sad to see him leave, but it's been on the cards for a few seasons now, and good that he leaves with head held high.

Definitely one of the best left-backs of the Premier League era, up there with Ashley Cole. And, as mentioned, one of Liverpool's best ever.
