For those interested/curious, apparently this show won't be adhering to the "canon" of the games

The upcoming Halo TV show now has its own canon status! It falls under something called the "Halo Silver Timeline". Apparently, this was done to help protect both the Core Canon and the TV show's story, letting each evolve to best suit the medium that they are on.

Looks very 2 dimensional, with the usual trying to be all earnest and serious. I'm guessing it will be dull, don't think I'll be watching unless everyone starts raving about it.

Watched the first episode and will stick with it.

Mixed bag so far, some bits look great, others very cheap. Story line is ok, will see how it goes.

Didn't rate the first episode of S2 but picked up well enough.

Still struggles with crap b-plots, same as first season, but at least they're kinda linked together by Ep3 and 4 so it's not a drag.

At least they're adapting the fall of Reach for S2 and they got the party started early. I still don't get why they didn't just make S1 based on the actual original Halo game (or the prequel Reach). Doesn't matter if you've played the games or not, either are a rock solid sci-fi story that'd be incredible done right.

Also, thankfully S2 seems a lot more consistent, S1 was awful for alternating between looking like a fan film and a blockbuster. It's not brilliant, but it's an improvement.

I've only watched the first episode of Season 2. Night and Day better in every single respect than season 1. Within the first 10 minutes you can see a huge uplift in script, cinematography, effect quality, choreopgraphy...literally everything.
