Hijack (2023) TV Thread

Only one episode so far but first impression is that it could be decent

Enjoying it so far, the constant tension helps.

Bit daft that the copper found out who the hijackers were before the ATU did.

Looks like they're being put up to it based on the phone call the leader tried to make. I'm guessing we'll be sympathetic to their cause by the end.

Enjoying this too, it's quite bingeable and has a good sense of unease.

 

[Boot Cleaner]

Started off strong but it's dragging on a bit. The acting is great, but there are some flaws in the writing. I also do not care about the politics. Realistically this should have ended in Hungary.

It's not brilliantly written but it's entertaining enough when you just need to switch off. Interesting to see how they end it.

Just finished this tonight.

Entertainment wise it's decent, but it's really a leave-your-brain-at-the-door type thriller as there are a lot of plot conveniences that are totally unrealistic.

Binged it due Idris Elba. It was a fun show to binge, despite a lot of silliness. Some of the things that happened were predictable to move along the plot. Idris being allowed as much freedom to walk and talk was quite funny considering they thought he was big enough trouble to take a picture of his passport.

Anyway fun show, probably wouldn't watch it without Idris Elba in it though.

It's a fun show, but not quite top-tier, so I'm looking forward to it.
