Keeper from Double Fine stands out as a memorable adventure, despite some marketing shortcomings from Xbox. One key aspect that sets it apart is its narrative approach - players assume the role of a lighthouse's light, embarking on a journey alongside a bird companion. The story unfolds through beautifully crafted environments and subtle, voiceless cutscenes, allowing for personal interpretation and emotional engagement.

The gameplay is designed to be accessible and soothing, featuring simple yet thoughtfully constructed puzzles that encourage exploration without the frustration of getting lost. While some may find the first half somewhat repetitive, the game evolves significantly, offering more dynamic sequences that elevate the experience as you progress.

Visually, Keeper is stunning, presenting a variety of imaginative landscapes that reflect Double Fine's flair for crafting unique worlds. The game's aesthetics are not just eye candy; they enhance the overall experience, making it worthwhile for players to stick around through the slower segments to witness its peak moments.

Despite its casual nature and lack of challenge, Keeper is a charming title that resonates with indie sensibilities, reminiscent of other low-key games like Jusant. If you're considering diving in, it's advisable to give it a fair chance, ideally making it to the midway point, where the gameplay truly begins to shine.

I remember seeing this on one of the game showcases and thought it looked amazing.

Finished this last night after playing half of it on Tuesday night. It's such a great little quirky weird thing. It's so hard to explain.

Play it, if you can :)
