She's covered Phil Collins' "Against All Odds" for a promo ad, I think it is for a Super Bowl ad. She is obviously very talented and in demand!

I heard her in an interview saying that she loves underground music, that she was moving in that direction before leaving the KPop trainee program, and thatshe used to use SoundCloud a lot.

I think we may see a lot of different kinds of music from her, not just the huge vocals.

She can definitely sing, but she is also a fantastic songwriter.

There are snippets of her next single on social media. From what I've heard, it sounds more pop/dance orientated than a ballad - not heard any lyrics, but it may not have the power vocals.

Just read that "Golden" won a Grammy for "Best Song Written For Visual Media", and in doing so has become the first-ever K-pop song to win at the Grammys.

I wouldn't bet against it winning at the Oscars.

Hopefully, we hear a lot more from EJAE and also some new songs from Huntr/X.

Her backstory is amazing. The fact that she is now getting the recognition that her talent deserves is one of the best stories I've seen in a while.

It is sad how a singer with such a beautiful voice and talent can be hidden for so long. The world needs to give EJAE all the recognition she deserves. I hope she will release her own album and continue working with the Huntrix girls.

She's released a new song today, got a 2015 to 2017 vibe about it, and sounds a little Dua Lipa to me. I can imagine the likes of David Guetta slicing this up to produce a remix!

Her voice is amazing!! Deep and velvety, but also bright and high. Her range is insane!! I'm so happy for her getting this level of fame, appreciation, and awards. She is also so humble and honest in interviews, and she looks stunning.

She released her debut solo single a few months ago, shortly after the live performance of Golden, and it showcases her voice and insane range.

God, this gives me chills. What a voice. What lyrics!

"I was thinking 'bout space and not the one between us"

"Maybe in another world
Where I own that I'm jealous and I did some damage to us
Maybe we will never know
'Cause the truth is on silent, but our egos are talking loud
You hit where it hurts 'cause I gave you the bullets, mm"

I don't fangirl over celebrities, but this is as close to fangirling as I've ever been.

One of my favourite songs, ever. M<uch prefer this cover to the Mariah Carey one.

My first thoughts too. This would also be a great song for a road trip. Deserves to do well.

You're correct, heard an interview where she mentioned she wrote this about 8 years ago.

She said on a radio interview recently that she is going to be writing songs after the awards season is over and will be releasing an album.

Oh, she had a minor blip performing Golden at the BAFTAS, not sure if it was a voice crack or just slightly off tune but she recovered well and nailed the rest of the song.

Needless to say, the haters are hating!

At least it proves they were singing live and without auto tune. People seem to forget how hard this song is to sing live and that they've only performed it about half a dozen times.

I'm no singing expert but it sounds like she came in flat on the first "born to be", made a slight correction on the second one, and nailed the final one at the end. The rest of the performance was very good. She did well how she recovered and controlled it.

Such a hard song to sing live.

They always will. Even if it was perfect some people would still post hate. They are sad and pathetic.
