Kingdom Come: Deliverance [Royal Edition]
A humble, young blacksmith loses everything to war. As he tries to fulfill the dying wish of his father, Fate drags him into the thick of a conspiracy to save a kidnapped king and stop a bloody conflict. You will wander the world, fighting as a knight, lurking in the shadows as a rogue, or using the bard's charm to persuade people to your cause. You will dive deep into a sweeping, epic, nonlinear story from Daniel Vávra, an award-winning designer from the Mafia series. Our unique, first-person combat system lets you wield sword or bow in both one-on-one skirmishes and large-scale battles. All of this – and more – brought to life beautifully with next-gen visuals delivered via CryEngine 3.

Started this again today, my God is so full of charm. Even finishing the prologue, I was grinning the whole time. Gonna use a walk-through to make my life easier at the start but looking forward to my 3rd attempt at this game.

I picked it up a few weeks ago on sale.

I think I'm about 10 hours in. Loving it. The atmosphere, writing and plot very good. The cut scenes are very good too. I'm genuinely living in fear running around because I am so under levelled and the cumans or whatever they called have the fear of god put into me .

If the combat doesn't get too difficult I will keep playing but I've a feeling I will hit a wall.

Also the lock picking is a bitch!

Been playing this and enjoying it. Bit of a learning curve but not too bad and feels rewarding. It's hard to train my gaming brain to not seek out fights and to learn to avoid stuff I'm not prepared for.

I was just looking for the bandit camp in the Ginger quest and decided to go at night whilst they'd be asleep. Killed them both easily and felt very proud of my strategy, only to then decide to intervene in someone getting robbed and got myself killed. Lesson learned.

I really like the grounded realism though. Even though it can be frustrating it's also satisfying when you do something well. The hunting the rabbits drove me mad at first but I got five in the end and really felt like I'd earned it.

I'm very interested to see what they've done with the sequel but I'm determined to finish this first in case of spoilers.

I've tried if a few times but quit fairly early each time. It's way too clunky and slow for me to really enjoy but maybe I'm not giving it a fair crack. I'll definitely try the sequel, though.
