IIRC, when we visited Valencia years ago, we passed on an opportunity to see them play either Barca or Real Madrid. Kind of kicked myself, but our son was still fairly young and I'm not sure he could have sat through a football match at that age.

Ansu Fati is going to be the next football superstar. Maybe not in the same league as a Messi or Ronaldo but right up there with the top players of his generation.

Both Real Madrid and Barcelona need to completely rebuild their squads, they have become stagnant, relying on basically the same players that made them the "best teams in Europe" a decade ago. Many of these players are still first-choice players but they aren't as effective as they were during the dominant years.

Currently 1-1 at half time in El Clasico. Any ball in behind and Barcelona are wide open, Madrid could have had 3 goals in the first half.

Very soft penalty for Madrid, the defender did have a hold of his jersey for a moment but Ramos made a meal of the dive.

Is Clement Lenglet the best Barcelona can do at centre half? Every time I see him he makes a mistake, usually a costly one.

Barcelona are too slow and laboured in their build up play.

Griezmann and Dembele on the bench - I'd have at least one of them on now.

Think Madrid will hold on, especially when Fati went off. Messi was good in the first half but has not done much since they went behind.

Pique, Clement and Alba are pathetic defensively, like 3 punchdrunk boxers out there when asked to defend. What a performance indeed!
