I have a feeling the MLS will get a lot of joy for Messi, literally just getting fitness as jogs around like he's in the park. Still creates 4 big chances then scores this free kick in the 94th minute to win the game.

GOAT!! Really going to miss him when he retires.

Messi could have joined any team but he joined the team Beckham owns. Beckham probably sees his signing and now this last minute winner as one of the big milestones for his team. It's a big moment.

Maybe Messi will open the door for more high rankings players to come on over. This could be the change MLS needed. If Messi can play there, they can too.

I'd prefer players to join the MLS than the Saudis, tbh

I think he is still good enough for the most part for any of the top 5 leagues, just the amount of minutes he can play is the issue, imo

But I think that's the issue, he's too big to be a squad option and his legacy is done and dusted. Now he can kick back and enjoy himself.

Two goals and an assist for Messi last night in the League Cup game against Atalanta United.

It looks too easy for Messi. Now he has that World Cup I hope he enjoys the next year or so. Playing in all new stadiums and fans in the States without the pressure but seemingly still scoring goals for fun

Another two goals for Messi last night against Orlando City

It's just fun watching him absolutely tear it up.

Let him enjoy his semi-retirement and bring a bit of joy to MLS.

Miami win on penalties after a 4-4 draw. Two goals, an assist and the creation of another goal for the little wizard. Miami were AWFUL. But Messi is just Messi.

Right now he's averaging a goal every 39 minutes  . Haven't even factored in assists. I think that takes it down to a goal involvement every 26-28 minutes.

This 85th minute equalising freekick, very similar position to the freekick in his first game.

That Miami team, in general, is so much worse than even this Dallas team; than any team. Messi, though. Literally had a direct hand in every goal.

Seven goals in his first 4 games and they've won all 4 games since his arrival.

He had an unbelievable impact since his first game. Miami desperately needed someone to turn their luck around.
