Former One Direction singer Liam Payne has reportedly died aged 31 after falling from a building in Buenos Aires.
The entertainer is said to have fallen from the third floor of the Casa Sur Hotel in the trendy Palermo neighbourhood.
Head of the state emergency medical system, Alberto Crescenti, said on Argentinian television that Payne fell into a courtyard of the hotel.
Local news has reported he was in Buenos Aires to attend one of the concerts of his former bandmate Niall Horan.
Hours before his death, Payne posted a video to his Snapchat, saying it was a "lovely day here in Argentina" and he was "just enjoying coffee and breakfast, even though it's like 1pm."
His girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, who is understood to be in Argentina with him, added: "Literally sleep in every day until like 12. We're such losers."
The news also comes the day after it was reported his ex fiancèe, Maya Henry, had taken legal action against Payne over accusations he had been repeatedly contacted her after the end of their relationship.
Ms Henry issued a cease and desist letter to Payne after claiming he had used different phone numbers to contact her, and had also contacted her friends and mother in the aftermath of their relationship.
