Some great players over the years, I've decided to go for a 4-4-2 formation and from the current group of players, I think that Allison, Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk are as good as any players that have played in their positions before. The hardest choice was whether to go with McDermott, Lee or Whelan in midfield, I've gone with Whelan who I feel was vastly underrated. The rest kinda speaks for itself....all club legends

I started off with a 4-3-3 formation but switched to a 4-4-2 and slotted Terry McDermott into the midfield in place of Keegan upfront. Allison is the only current player who I considered

I've tried to pick a complete team including fullbacks and wingers. They've had some great players over the years. They also have some great players now but I don't think any of them have been there long enough yet to be considered the all-time best so Steven Gerrard is my most recent choice.

All mine are from the great Liverpool teams of the 70s & 80s, as good as they have been the past two years the current team and players are not at the level of the great Liverpool teams from those decades.

Allison and Steven Gerrard make it into my 11. Allison has a presence about him that I don't think any of the other keepers have had and Steven Gerrard is a legend. The back 4 is near enough picks itself and if you are playing 4-4-2 you can't really pick any other front 2.
