Rivals (2024) TV Thread

Started watching this after reading about it in the "Ones To Watch" section of the weekend TV magazine and after three episodes, I'd say it's quite good. Definitely worth a watch if you have Disney+ already.

I'm enjoying it. It's very soapy like a Cotswolds Dallas and David Tennant is great in it.

Finished it last night. I just wish there were more episodes! The bonking takes a back seat in the later episodes and the drama takes over. Great show all round. It's the first time I've liked Danny Dyer in anything.

Wasn't nearly as much riding as in the books though. Disappointed

I only watched this as the missus insisted on it (honest), but I ended up really enjoying it. We lashed through it.

A great cast, a great soundtrack and lots of humour. The end maybe felt a little rushed/unresolved. It will be interesting how they manage a second season.

When I first sat down to watch my other half left the room to do something else! I kept catching him glancing in at all the riding, then at the whacky characters and then by the end he'd be stood in the doorway for 20 minutes utterly hooked!

We're on the last episode today. What a great show. Great cast, great characters, awesome music!
