The post provides a personal experience that many players can relate to, but it lacks clarity in terms of specifics about the game mechanics. A bit more detail on strategies or tips would enhance its value.

I see this is on sale in the Xbox Store. I've been tempted a few times but never bought it, is it any good?

It can definitely be frustrating at times. Some big hits (like the grabs from the big goons or bottle throws from enemies) can come at you with very little warning or when you're trying to avoid an attack from someone else. But the gameplay can also just be so satisfying at times, especially when you're in a flow.

This game is good. Really good but very difficult.

I hadn't played it in a while, so gave it a spin earlier after seeing the posts here. Couldn't last 10 minutes in the first level!

The final content update for Sifu is on the way, and you'll be able to try it out come September 7.

After releasing on all platforms and PC last spring, the final content update sees the Arenas Mode expand, unveiling more unseen locations. It also introduces new battles against familiar goons, bosses, and unexpected faces.

It contains six additional Arenas, 75 challenges, more modifiers and cheats, and film-inspired outfits. You will also encounter zombie-like enemies, doppelgangers, and interactive environments, testing your reflexes and strategies.

This is now available on Xbox Game Pass.

It is an addictive little game. The combat is fantastic.

Going to revisit it this evening :)

I can't get by The Club stage. The difficulty level is brutal.

I'm a few years late to the party but I finally found the time to dig into this. It took me a little while to get the hang of it but wasn't too bad once I found the right rhythm. Never really bothered with parries, I found it much easier to just avoid attacks. The final boss caught me out initially though.

Anyway, pretty good game, great looking combat but I feel it lacked some weight or feedback behind it.

It took quite a few attempts but I managed to get no-death runs for everything leading up to the final level and then finished that one with a single, pretty avoidable death, and couldn't be bothered to try another no-death run. Finishing at age 21 was good enough.

Some of the levels are stunning, I feel that was the game's strongest point for me, much more than the combat.

All in all, a good game, but not quite great.
