Scotland beat Wales. At one point they were cruising to a comfortable victory but, like so many times before, they seem to drift out of games. In the end, they hold on to win 35-29. They actually looked relieved at the end which told you everything about the Welsh comeback which saw them score three unanswered tries (all converted).

In the other game, France ended Ireland's Grand Slam hopes with a 42-27 win in Dublin. The French were brilliant and Ireland found out they are a very good team. It is France's title to lose now.

I totally agree. I've said that many a time over the last few years. Everyone says we play great rugby, and we do to an extent, but our discipline can be poor and the coach must take some responsibility for that. He has probably taken Scotland as far as he can.

Easy win for England over Italy today sets it all up for the final weekend.

France are on 16 points, England are a point behind on 15 points.

Next Saturday, France host Scotland, and England travel to Wales.

I said a couple of years ago that they needed to move on from Townsend. Everyone was applauding the rugby and playing style but the discipline negated everything. Nothing has changed.

Ireland got the job done against Italy, winning 22-17 and securing a bonus point.

That effort by Ireland looks like it will be in vain though as England are trouncing Wales 40-7 after an hour and will move back to the top of the table. All eyes will then be on France v Scotland, the French need a win to claim the Six Nations.
