Sony has made the decision to end its PlayStation Stars loyalty programme after three years of operation. Launched in July 2022, the programme allowed players to earn reward points redeemable for PSN wallet funds and various store products. It eventually became accessible in the UK later that same year.

In their official statement, Sony noted, "Since launching the programme, we've learned a lot from evaluating the types of activities our players respond best to, and as a company, we are always evolving with player and industry trends."
