The post presents an interesting observation but lacks clarity and cohesion. It could benefit from more context about spiders and their behavior to enhance its relevance and value to the community.

According to the experts spiders are blind, deaf and dumb and apparently clever, but last night there was one that dashed across the floor and went under the couch but I still could see it and I knew it was watching me. If they are blind then how do they know where to run?

Blind? They've got 8 eyes ????

They're wily b*stards, one ran out a while back, the bairn screamed - I picked up a shoe, the bugger saw me, dodged my shoe bang and scarpered behind the bookcase.

Got him a week later when he taunted me in the bathroom.

Depends on the spider. Jumpers (one of my favorites) apparently have very good eyesight. Two huge eyes right up front, smaller ones between. Cave spiders, or others that live in the dark, less so.

I get this huge Wolf Spiders that carry their babies on the back, must be 200 of them. But I know they can see, when you step near one they shake and release the babies.

Saw a big (by Ontario standards) wolf spider yesterday. Was raking leaves and it ran out on to my yard waste bag. Don't have my pic handy but I'll dig it up later.

I've seen that once or twice around here, too. Kind of cool, actually. Most spiders, the babies just start crawling around on their own once hatched.
