Nolan's trilogy will always be the bar for Batman movies for me, but this came close.

Robert Pattinson is a pretty great actor when he's not pretending to be a vampire and makes a far better bat.

Colin Farrell is utterly unrecognizable even though I knew Colin Farrell was in the movie.

Matt Reeves direction is spot on and for a dark movie where most every scene is at night, it's lit beautifully. The story is decent, although maybe some of the Riddler's riddles are kinda simplistic, and the whole thing (and particularly a bit around the two hour mark) reminded me an awful lot of Seven.

It doesn't feel like a three hour movie, but that said it definitely doesn't feel like a 90 minute movie.

Really enjoyed it. A fantastic cast is its main strength. Really looking forward to seeing what they do next.

I for one really enjoyed the ending and thought it was badly needed to show us why the batman is needed.

They could have knocked 20 minutes off the runtime though.

Just back from it. I really enjoyed it. I loved the Batman theme, that was epic. I did enjoy the detective vibe that they had going but I thought it was way too long and agree with Bandit Bandit, it could easily have been 20 minutes or thereabouts shorter.

I enjoyed Pattinson as Batman and I would watch other films with him. He had great chemistry with Selena/Catwoman.

Great film.

Pattinson killed it and Kravitz, Dano and Farrell were also excellent. I loved grungy, emo Batman. I liked the omission of OP technology. I really enjoyed the plot and Batman being forced into more of an introspection about his own family. I loved the depiction of Gotham and the Se7en vibes I got throughout the film. The soundtrack fits perfectly too.

Just saw the movie today and thought it was really good. I got a Tim Burton vibe off it which I think is a nice little nod to the classic films. I also like that they showed Batman's detective prowess in the films more too, which I think is something that the previous films lacked.

Also, the casting was good, and the costumes blew my mind. I mean Colin Farrell's Penguin is some of the best makeup effects I've ever seen in a movie. He really doesn't look like Colin Farrell. Paul Dano is always a delight to watch, and Pattinson's Batman was an interesting take on the Batman character. He really nailed the dark and brooding nature of the character.

Really enjoyed it.

Thought it really gets across the fact that Batman is a nutter, scarred by his parents' death. Pattinson is already the best Batman in my opinion. Only the Dark Knight is better. The score is very good too. Also liked the nod to.the 60s batmobile.

Looking forward to the next one.

Watched it yesterday and I liked almost everything about this movie: the actors, the setting, the story, the atmosphere.

On par with the Nolan trilogy IMO.
