Yes, books by Søren Sveistrup, who wrote the "The Killing" TV series. "The Chestnut Man" was the first book, and "Hide and Seek" was the follow-up.

I started watching this recently as it showed up on Netflix for me. I really enjoyed the first season. It dipped a bit towards the end once the killer was known.

I've started the second season and it's looking good as well.
