I wouldn't be surprised if Trump announced tariffs on EU members during his Congress speech tonight.

Must admit, I expected a lot worse from his Congress speech. I don't care what he does in America as long as it doesn't have a ripple effect around the world.

This is just weird though. Trump on Greenland.

"One way or another, we're going to get it"

And all the stuff about Zelenskyy now being ready to come to the negotiating table is just bullshit, Ukraine has always been ready to come to the table but they need security guarantees (Any country would that has been invaded by their much more powerful neighbour) - is Trump/America too dumb to see that or don't they care? And Zelenskyy was correct, peace is still very far away.

And the MAGA movement is frightening, it makes David Koresh and Jim Jones look like amateurs!

While I totally disagree with his vision for Gaza/Palestine, I don't disagree with eliminating Hamas, they are a terrorist organisation. I don't think threatening them on your social media platform is the correct way to go about it though.

Trump takes his first lose from the Supreme Court since becoming President. By 5-4 SCOTUS leaves in place a lower court order demanding the administration to unfreeze $2 billion in aid for work already done:

Whilst it's good this was stopped, the fact that this only won by a single vote is pretty insane - 'government should pay government contractors for work that's already done' is something that no one in a remotely functioning society would ever legally challenge, let alone be a hair's breadth away from prevailing in!

Mark Carney has been elected as the new leader of the Liberal Party in Canada. Can't wait to see how Trump interacts with him.

I watched Carney's speech last night. He seems tougher and more direct than Trudeau, along the lines of "If you want a trade war, we'll give you one and we'll win it". Gloves very much off here.
