Really good episode but the giant mushroom dude looked really CGI and took me out of the moment. A shame as the rest of the show has looked so amazing.

Just watched ep5. What an ending, wasn't expecting that at all. The show takes you on an emotional roller coaster, just when they meet good people you know shit is going to happen. Loving it so far.

Really loved this episode.

The scene where Joel lays bare his doubts and fears to Tommy was phenomenally acted by Pedro Pascal. Also, special shout out to the old couple at the beginning, it was like watching my grandparents.

Class again. Think it would've really suited a binge-watch style though.

Wonderful episode. Almost no action at all and yet still so engrossing. Also very funny at times.

Loved Tommy's reaction to the communism bit as a Texas man

Also, I feel rather blessed that I haven't played the game and can continue to be surprised and totally unaware of what might come next.

As Joel fights to survive, Ellie looks back on the night that changed everything.

Didn't love tonight's episode. Unlike the 3rd episode where it all felt very natural and unhurried, this one felt a bit too self-aware and trying too hard to be poignant. Still love this series.

Yeah, I've enjoyed it a lot up until now, particularly episodes 3 and 5 but with this episode, I think the show has a slight pacing problem. There was a point in episode 4 when Melanie Lynskey's character was introduced that I was rewinding because I felt like I must have missed something, then they've had two episodes that take a detour from the main narrative when they only have 9 episodes, one was fine (and a brilliant episode), a second doesn't work for me.

Episode 8 was great and the last scene hit the target. Sadly only one episode left in this season but looking forward to the finale.
