The sequel to Frogwares' 2019 Lovecraftian detective game is almost here, launching next Tuesday, August 18, on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.

The Sinking City 2 will transport players to Arkham, a place familiar from many of H.P. Lovecraft's stories, now completely flooded. Set in the 1920s, the game will place a much stronger emphasis on survival horror gameplay, leaning more toward Resident Evil or Silent Hill than a Sherlock Holmes-y hunt for clues. Investigative work will still remain part of the experience, though.

Here, the dead return to life, lurking beneath the water and hiding in dark alleys. Amid this nightmare, the love of the protagonist's life has her soul dragged into the Dreamlands, leaving you with no choice but to brave the flooded streets in the hope of bringing her back.
