Used Cars (1980) Movie Thread

First saw this one at a drive-in theater in 1980. Which is the perfect venue for it. Lots of camp, lots of silliness, snappy humor and dialogue in this initial Robert Zemeckis effort. Movie is full of "more to come" from him and the writer, Bob Gale. Jack Warden plays his dual roles to the hilt and the fight scene was only partly scripted - Warden really hated his costar Gerrit Graham and was really going after him in the scene. Kurt Russell plays his part of a slick-talking used car salesman but Senator wannabe with almost too easy aplomb. Underrated movie that became a cult classic, this one launched several careers and in a way, really started it all for what was to come such as the Back to the Future movies, Forrest Gump, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and other Zemeckis/Gale collaborations. Definitely Stream it!
