Venison Recipe Ideas Food & Recipes

My local butcher, who always see me right, just gave me a cracking deal on a shoulder of venison and wondered if anyone's got any good ideas for recipes.

I think it'll definitely be getting slow cooked though the guy I got it off swears by venison curry but I'm not sold on that idea.

Any other ideas?

Cottage pie with venison is nice. Low setting for 5 hours on the venison then assemble like you would a beef shepherds pie.

Venison casserole and combined with a redcurrant jelly in a pie. Oh yes.
