Looks like a cross between The Twilight Zone and Power Rangers

Started today on Disney+ with a double episode with a new episode dropping each Friday for the remainder of the series.

That was a lot of fun, and fantastic to see the marvel opening crawl on new content after what feels like forever.

The show is as long as it could be per episode without getting lost in itself (30 mins) but I do wonder about releasing one episode per week going forward.

There's some very nice nods to the comic lore for the fans, the story seems (for now) to be pretty much what I expected.

It might be one to wait until the series has aired (streamed?) and then binge the lot. A lot of reviewers online reckon it kicks up a gear in episode 3.

It's bizarre. It's going for an 'I Love Lucy' vibe in terms of style, but I can't place where the humour fits. It's obviously mainly jabs at sexism and how everything in the 50's was very politically incorrect. But it's not interesting enough or imminently watchable to warrant anything close to the positive reviews it's getting. I can only think the positive reviews are due to a) Marvel and b) it's VERY different to anything they've done.

Based on the trailers I'm not sure what to make of this. I think I'll wait until the whole season is available.

I thought it was pretty decent.

Episode 1 was definitely just setting up how Wanda is coping. Episode 2, we get more of a glimpse into how it's about to fall apart on her. On their own, they're not super exciting episodes but I've a feeling they're going to be more important in the grand scheme of things and I can't wait to see the rest to see how they play this.

Watched the first two episodes and thought it was quite well done. I actually chuckled at some of the jokes, which are intentionally corny to match the sitcoms of the era. Olsen is very good in it as is Bettany. The show could open up a lot of possibilities for larger MCU shenanigans. Curious just how far they take it. I think the shorter season and overall MCU hype will help it retain audiences through the initial slow burn.

Well, hopefully Episode 3 gets things started. The show still has potential and will likely pay off eventually but really feel those first two didn't tap into anything really.

The last 3 episodes are set to be 1 hour each. This is essentially padding. I'm going to judge it as a whole once the entire season has aired.

Only watched episode 1 so far.

Well that was different, for Marvel at least.

I have to say I love Kathryn Hahn in everything (she is especially good in Mrs Fletcher), she can definitely do comedy she steals every scene in Parks and Rec.

Extremely intrigued to see where it goes, pretty audacious to say the least!
